Lisa Batiashvili can be seen in performance at some of Europe’s most renowned venues this month, on a chamber music tour across the continent. Ms. Batiashvili is joined by an acclaimed roster of colleagues, which includes cellist Jean-Guihen Queyras, violist Antoine Tamestit, and pianist Jonathan Biss. The programme features much loved highlights from the chamber music repertoire: three works by Schumann – his Three Romances Op. 94; Marchenbilder for viola and piano, Op. 113; and the Piano Quartet Op. 47. The concerts will also include Martinů’s Duo No. 1 for Violin and Cello, H. 157. Performances take place on May 12 at the historic Schloss Elmau; May 13 at the Het Concertgebouw in Amsterdam; and May 17 at London’s Wigmore Hall. Please note there is extremely limited ticket availability for these not-to-be-missed events.
